Community Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Serving Manatee and Sarasota Counties

---------
The mission of the Community Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CCDHH) is to provide services and programs which promote empowerment, equal access, education and independence to the deaf and hard-of-hearing of Manatee and Sarasota Counties.
Goals of the Community Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
-
Develop and improve relationships between the hearing and non-hearing communities through hearing-loss education.
-
Create healthier business and personal environments for individuals with hearing loss: deaf, deaf-blind, hard-of-hearing adults and children and their families by empowering them to participate independently in the community on a level that is equal to that of their hearing peers.
-
Promote and ensure equal rights and accessibility for all deaf and hard of hearing children and adults in both Manatee and Sarasota Counties.
CCDHH, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, offers services and programs for deaf, hard of hearing, late deafened, deaf blind, speech impaired, and hearing individuals making communication possible for all in our community. Manatee and Sarasota Counties have over 112,000 permanent deaf and hard of hearing residents, making the Tampa Bay region the largest deaf and hard of hearing hub in Florida with over one half million full time residents. CCDHH serves the residents of Manatee and Sarasota Counties with the main office located in Sarasota and a branch office in Venice.
